Courage is the human virtue that counts most--courage to act on limited knowledge and insufficient evidence. That's all any of us have.

PeopleTree strongly believes in the demographic dividend that India's burgeoning masses can provide to India and the world. We believe India's future is in the services business and the services business hinges on the differential of talent that the populace is able to render to the IT/ITES Industry.

We are sanguine that unless proactive and affirmative action is taken to bridge the talent gap that exists between various geographies of India, the same story of economic divide would be repeated as was in the case of industrialization. The economic disparity would not be confined within the Indian social classes. It would also seriously impair India's ability as a country to scale up and provide talent of the highest order and volume to the world.

Signs of the demand fatigue are evident in shapes and forms of rising salaries, higher attrition, decrease in productivity and the Industry's response to a wily-nilly reduction in quality standards. This double whammy (salary increase and compromise in quality/productivity) eventually is going to blunt the Indian competitive edge in the global arena.

There is a lot of promise in the other side of this great urban divide, we call the class B/C cities, cities that have remained untouched / un-benefited from the great services boom in the country. We believe the reason they have been insulated is that till now most of the demand was met within the 'A' cities and 'A' cities also benefited form the proximity effect. Since the biggest service providers were located in Class A cities, they mined the talent in their proximity. There was no concrete effort to cultivate even satellite cities which could be harvested when the real requirements came.

On the other hand, the talent available in Class B/C cities is not 'readily employable'. They lack on the soft and necessary technical skills needed to succeed in the IT/ITES environment. This is because either they suffer from information-insufficiency or their talent has not been harnessed and refined.

The above analysis has given strength to PeopleTree's credo that in order for India to become a great Knowledge driven economy, massive investments have to happen in such regions. A demonstration of Proof of Success, is something which will get this juggernaut rolling.

Thus for the benefit of the employment aspirants of tier 2/3 cities PeopleTree launches .net & php courses.
